Safeguarding
At Woodbridge Primary School, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students. We have robust safeguarding measures in place to ensure that all pupils are protected, happy, and able to learn effectively.
We follow safer recruitment procedures, and all staff, governors, and volunteers undergo thorough safeguarding checks. They also participate in regular safeguarding training and updates. Adults are aware of how to report any concerns, and students are informed about who they can approach if they feel worried about themselves or their peers.
All adults in the school have a safeguarding duty and, in addition, the following members of staff have specific safeguarding and child protection roles:
Lynsey Crossley is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Prevent Lead and Designated Teacher for Looked After Children and Previously Looked After Children
Emma Stokes, Tracey Nicholls and Tracy Watson-Brown are the Alternate Designated Safeguarding Leads (ADSLs)
Gillian Mitchell is the Named Governor Responsible for Safeguarding
If you have concerns about a pupil from our school, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the safeguarding team immediately through the school office.
In the event that you are concerned that a child is at risk of serious harm, you should make a referral without delay to Customer First on 0808 800 4005 or call 999 to report your concerns to the police.
We regularly share safeguarding advice and guidance in our Newsletters and Wednesday Safeguarding Article. You can view the archive by clicking below:
