Pack Lunches

Building on our commitment to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and in line with our Healthy School Status, we operate a packed lunch policy.

We will always encourage children to make healthy food choices and this extends to what food they bring to school in their packed lunch boxes. If you do elect to send your child in with a packed lunch we ask that you help us maintain our healthy school status by packing healthy and nutritious foods that are low in sugar. We have some children in school with severe nut allergies so we ask that you do not put any nuts (in any form) into your child’s packed lunch.

Please include:

At least one portion of fruit and/or vegetables

Do not include:

Sweets
Chocolate or chocolate bars
Drinks (water is provided at the tables)
Nuts (in any form, including peanut butter and Nutella)

Our packed lunch policy is part of your child’s PHSE education. Having a packed lunch policy not only gives our students a consistent message about what constitutes good nutrition it also helps prepare them to make healthy food choices later in life.
