We have been invited to participate in Young Art East Anglia (YAEA), a competition and exhibition of children’s art, raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

Our ‘Gifted and Talented’ artists have been working with Mrs Boland to create pictures based on the theme “Extraordinary Adventures”. They produced their own papers to create the collages and they had a go at printing, block printing, stencil work, watercolours and soft pastel techniques. They then decided where they would like to go on their extraordinary adventure and produced their mixed media collages.

The artist Sophie Elinor Martin will select this year’s prize-winners and the exhibition will be held at the Peter Pears Gallery in Aldeburgh on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8th – 10th March 2019. Please look at www.youngarteastanglia.co.uk for more information. Each exhibited artist will receive a certificate to mark the occasion. Postcards of all exhibited work will be for sale at the exhibition and the paintings are also available for purchase, with priority being given to the artist’s family.
