Y5 w/c 14th March
Year 5 have had a busy week. In our English and topic work, we have started learning about the ancient Greeks and are currently reading ‘The Odyssey’. We are all wondering how Odysseus will escape the cyclops!
We have also been making slime as part of Science week. We then tested to see how each could stretch and compared our results. Lots of fun but very messy! We also improved on our personal bests in our running and skipping challenge. Well done everyone!
Quick Sticks Hockey Tournament
On Monday 14th March, 8 Year 5 children took part in a quicksticks hockey tournament at the Royal Hospital School. They played 4 matches and were superb, demonstrating great commitment, craftsmanship and communication. Theo was nominated for the sportsmanship award for honesty and integrity. Well done to all and thank you to our wonderful supporters for cheering us on.
