Our lovely Y4 tribe were set the task of engineering a tower using only newspaper, sellotape and scissors. They had to focus on strength, height and stability.
They used all their 7 Cs as they were asked to be creative, communicate effectively, demonstrate a commitment to the task, be considerate to one another and work as a team. The children were using a trial and error approach and were genuinely curious as to what would and wouldn’t work. Some produced structures that demonstrated craftsmanship and many children grew in confidence as their ideas were realised by their team mates.
