Year 3 – w/c 13th December

Art, Y3

Christmas Cards

Year 3 made Christmas Cards. They drew a triangle to get the shape and filled it with colourful strips of paper. They are really pleased with the results.

Christmas Decorations

Year 3 have been busy rolling out and cutting clay in Christmas shapes. They then decorated them and once they were dry added ribbon so they can be hung on the Christmas tree.

Reindeer Hats

To help make Christmas Dinner even more exciting we made reindeer hats. It was quite a challenge to get the antlers to stand up straight but we managed with some perseverance. We also wore the hats in the afternoon when we watched the Aladdin pantomime, which we all really enjoyed.

Natural Wrapping

We rolled out a long strip of brown paper for each group. We then used leaves, that we collected from the woods, apples, potatoes and carrots to print onto the paper. We worked as a team to complete the challenge. We had lots of fun.

Christmas Jumpers

Year 3 looked amazing in their Christmas Jumpers on Tuesday. All the children had made such an effort, we had lots of Christmas headbands and even a rudolph nose too!

Christmas Gift Boxes

We have decorated the net for a cube with lots of Christmas ideas. We then cut out our net and stuck it onto card to make it nice and strong. Finally we folded it into a box ready to put our finished Christmas decorations in it.
