We have had a good first week back in Year 2.
On Tuesday 8th June, it was World Oceans Day and to celebrate we have created our very own aquariums!
We started our castles work by creating our own coat of arms; we looked at the different colours and symbols and used ones we thought represented us and what we are like.
On Thursday we had great fun creating and testing our very own trebuchets – we built small lego castles and attacked them!
In maths this week, we have started looking at fractions, particularly 1/4 and 3/4 and, for English, we wrote a letter of application to the king of the Great Castle to apply to become a knight. We had to think about what makes a good knight and how we can show that.
What a busy first week back we’ve had!
