This week we have finished our Gaudi butterflies by grouting them – what a mess that made! We have also planted some gladioli corms which we are hoping will flower before the summer holidays. We have continued to see our caterpillars grow and they are now at the next stage of their lifecycle: chrysalides. This meant they needed transferring to the net ready for when they emerge.
In Maths, we have been solving problems by dividing by 5 and in English we have been learning what adverbs are; we acted them out to help us understand. We have been excited to start using our reading den for quiet reading time this week; one person can choose 2 friends to go into the den with them to do their quiet reading each day – we will make it more cosy with cushions when we’re allowed to.
We also looked at programming using Scratch Junior. We recapped basic functions and blocks on Scratch and created a programme that would start and stop.
We have worked really hard this week and made Miss Stokes super proud!
