As part of our Mexican them, we’ve been making tacos, paper creations (with a recipe card so we can make real tacos at home).
Today (Friday) we’ve been looking at how sombreros are made and why, because of the climate, they’ve been so popular in Mexico for hundreds and hundreds of years.
We’ve begun making our own sombrero, using tissue paper instead of fabric and a paper cup and plate for the shape. We’ll be finishing them off next week by adding the finishing touches (pom poms and glitter).
