Woodwind Recital & Assembly

On Thursday 14th March, the school (and some parents) were treated to an assembly with Mrs Clarke, the school’s Woodwind teacher. We saw familiar instruments such as the clarinet and flute and were also introduced to the Toot, DooD and Chalameau.

Many of the children were captivated by the instruments, particularly as the Toot and DooD make learning easier for smaller mouths. If your child has expressed an interest, Mrs Clarke is willing to offer a free trial lesson. Please speak to Mrs Ling or someone in the office if you would like more details.

On Wednesday evening, Ambrose, Anya and Laurie had played their clarinets at a recital at Farlingaye so they treated us to a rendition of ‘Tequila’ which included some audience participation (see video).
