Last week we were introduced to this term’s topic book, The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt, illustrated by Oliver Jeffers.
Before we looked at the book we discussed who we thought the men in the pictures were, we then discussed the jobs of an author and illustrator.
This week we have been writing letters to our favourite crayons saying what we like most about them and why they shouldn’t quit.
This week we’ve been looking at the alphabet, reminding ourselves of the letter name and sound, as well as matching capital letters to its lower case letter.
