Remembrance Assembly

This morning’s assembly was particularly poignant…

Pupils from Year 5 read their poems dedicated to Remembrance Day and a poem will be published every day on the website in the run up to Remembrance Day.

Four years’ ago, to mark the beginning of WW1, pupils designed a beautiful poppy and some of the children in assembly remembered creating it…they were reminded that the fours years that have passed since the artwork was created are the same amount of time that the war lasted.

A ceramic poppy from the 2014 Tower of London installation ‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red’ can be seen in our reception area. Please feel free to view it and read the accompanying booklet.
