At the end of last term, Dennis Tattoo held a number of sessions with some of our current Y6 group to enable them to achieve their PlayMaker Award. We’re delighted that they all thrived in their leadership roles and will go on to help peers and younger children in the school with games and activities. Our PlayMakers are Maia, Henry, Flynn, Jamie, Edie, Poppy, Daisy, Lily, Dan, Millie and Harry. Congratulations to all!
The PlayMaker Award is a great introduction into leadership giving learners knowledge of how to organise small games and activities that can be used during curricular and extracurricular time, lunchtimes, breaks, as well as in sports clubs outside school hours.
The PlayMaker Award aims to help learners develop leadership skills such as organisation, communication and teamwork, as well as helping to build confidence and self-esteem asthey take on the responsibility of assisting in leading their peers and younger children.
