F2 Trip to Spring Farm Barn

On a gloriously sunny day, F2 walked from school to Spring Farm Barn in Melton. During the trip, Richard Litchfield gave them a tour of the farm (and glamping area!) then they were able to feed alpacas and goats, collect chicken and duck eggs, do some very exciting pond dipping, search for bugs and create beautiful rainbows from all the flowers and plants in the garden. They were then treated to a special talk from a local beekeeper and the children were fascinated by the bees, asking lots of great questions. They finished the day by eating lunch together under a beautiful willow tree…all in all an idyllic morning!
