This week we have continued to learn more about caterpillars and butterflies. We looked at the story of the Caterpillars Shoes and the children have been learning to count in twos. We even counted pairs of Mrs Bradshaws socks!
It was windy on Wednesday so some children decided to make kites, we then made more kites on Thursday and had great fun flying them in the ball court. We then linked this in with our phonics and looked at the trigraph igh. We listened to the song let’s go fly and kite and spotted all the igh digraphs in the text,
In woodland time we made lots of butterflies using natural resources, we carefully selected the materials we needed and made some beautiful creations.
We have been enjoying singing outside and made a stage for performers, we hope to sell ice creams and refreshments (pretend) to the audience once we have learnt more songs and the weather gets warmer.
