F2 – w/c 22nd March

We have had another busy week of fun-filled creative learning. This week, we have been learning all about the Easter story. In woodland time we made nests for eggs showing great craftsmanship skills and consideration to the environment.

We have made some Easter crosses using natural resources and we had to say goodbye to our worms. Mrs Barnes from Year 4 was so happy; our worms and wormery carefully went to live in the compost bin to help make compost for the garden. The picture shows the incredible patterns the worms made.
In our Maths time we have been recognising and ordering numbers as well as counting as many objects as accurately as we can.
We have been learning about wood working skills and watched a video of Grandad Everitt making some wooden toys for us. Harrison was so motivated he made his own woodcutting machine out of construction.
Charlie made his very own Mr Men story and a few children made bunk beds for the dolls. What a busy week.! We are ready for the holiday.
