F2 – w/c 19th April

This week has flown by, we have been so happy and busy. Our book of the week was The Very Hungry Caterpillar, we listened carefully to the story and have been working on a whole range of activities linked with the story. The children had opportunities to paint a caterpillar and a butterfly, retell the story, sequence the story, make holes in paper and write about the story.

We were very excited to be able to play football and have PE in the ball court. We were so excited to share bean bags, balance them on our head and practice throwing and catching with a partner.
In the woods we went on a caterpillar hunt. We had fun in the mud kitchen and loved turning the water purple using dried rose petals.
We have been learning to read and spell tricky words in phonics. In maths we have ordered numbers and made up number stories using addition and subtraction. Phew !
