Diwali, Phonics & Maths
Year 2 have continued to work very hard this week; we have been working on our own version of Handa’s Surprise in English and, in Maths, we have been looking at addition and subtraction of ones.
Look at the pictures of some of our phonics work – we have been learning to spell some new tricky words and use different pronunciation of letters!
On Thursday, we learnt about the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali. We looked at the story of Rama and Sita, made rangoli patterns, paper lanterns and our own salt dough diva lamps, which we will paint next week.
