F2 w/c 17th January
This week our book of the week is Winnie in Winter. We had great discussions about the weather and which season we like the best.
We have experimented with colour mixing using cold colours and using materials and collage pieces to enhance our art. We listened and danced to jazz music and watched winter scenes on the interactive board. The children have also studied maps and made their own compasses so they know which direction to travel in to get to a cold country.
The children used beads, matchsticks and gems to enhance the snow playdough.
Our message centre has proved to be really popular with children writing messages to their friends and teachers. The children have also really enjoyed roleplaying teachers, taking the registers and teaching phonics and numbers! Great work F2.
