F2 – w/c 7th February

This week we travelled to Antarctica to learn all about penguins. We measured penguins, listened to the noises they make, drew and painted penguins, cut out shapes to make a penguin, learnt a new penguin song and walked like a penguin.

We have also been learning how to match pairs of numbers, look at patterns and make different amounts on the tens frame. On the interactive board we have been consolidating our learning by playing games on the Top Marks website.

For Safer Internet Day, we listened to a story about Digi Duck, we talked about how to be safe and always tell a grown up when you play online.

Outside we have used dried lavender and petals to make mud pie and cakes in the mud kitchen. The obstacle course proved to be very popular and kept us fit.

Watching Mr Chatten Berry dismantle the climbing frame has inspired us to make our own construction area and be builders.

We also really enjoyed our first ever PE lesson today.
