Check your diaries, dust off your pads, and remember that perfect line and length! We need some cricketers with some, but not much, experience of school or club cricket. Woodbridge Primary School is competing again in the St Kybridge Cup, on Sunday 14th July at The Abbey School in Woodbridge.

The Cup is a friendly tournament against dad’s (but can, and should be, mums) from Kyson and St Mary’s, held each year to raise money for the PTA’s. It’s a great laugh!

Steve Smith (children in Y6, Y3) and Ben Cliff (children in Y5, Y3) launched the Cup some years ago, but with children now at senior school and in upper years at WPS, they suspect there are cricketing parents from younger years who may like to get one over on St Mary’s and Kyson.

It’s also a day for the whole family, with an inflatable assault course, tennis courts, BBQ and music, all in the beautiful setting of The Abbey’s sports field on Cumberland Street.

If you might be interested in joining the WPS team, or would like to know more, please contact either Steve or Ben for more details. Cliff.family@hotmail.co.uk
