Summer Fair – Please donate next week – thank you!

As we’re sure you know by now (!) the Summer Fair takes place next Saturday 2nd July.

We will circulate the Volunteer list early next week as a reminder for helpers.

From Monday, we will be accepting donations of crockery (for the Crockery Smash), unwanted soft toys (for the Teddy Tombola) and items for the White Elephant stall. Please pop these donations under the gazebo located in the front car park and we will look after them.

In addition, we will be sending paper plates home on Monday if you wish to make a cake for us to sell at the cake stall. Please bring your bakes along on Friday next week (we will send an email beforehand with details of where to put them).

We will also be selling secondhand uniform and ex instruments at the Fair.

Welcome to the new Parent Reps!

We are delighted to announce that the following lovely people are your new Parent Representatives! These parents will represent the year groups that their child/children will be going into in September.

Kelly Boyce (y4)
Greta Wallace (y1)
Shervorne Page (y6)
Eve Grigsby-Smith (y4)

The next meeting of the Parent Forum is on 5th July. If you have any questions or comments that you would like the reps to bring to the meeting, then please feel free to speak to them or email comms@woodbridgeprimary.suffolk.sch.uk.

We are still inviting parents to represent F1, F2, Y2, Y3 and Y5 from September, so if you are interested in joining us, then please drop us an email.

Guitar stars

We had a wonderful time watching the children demonstrate their strumming skills on Wednesday. You can see some pictures and a few video clips at the Guitar Assembly page. The pianists and woodwind players get their turn on Thursday, with the drummers wrapping up a musical couple of weeks on Friday 1st.

Y6 Production

The stage is up and the scenery, singing, dancing and line-learning are all coming together! The ‘box office’ will open next week so please keep an eye on your emails for details of how to book your tickets. The production will run over two nights, Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th July, at 7pm.

Cricket funded sessions – we’ll let you know

Thank you to those who have expressed an interest in the funded cricket sessions at Melton. We’ve had a great response and will get back to you next week.

Forest Fun Days in the Summer holidays

A fun packed day of Forest School activities for KS2 children set within the beautiful Sinfield Nature Conservation Trust Reserve, Hasketon. Led by our Forest School leader Suzanne Strand.

Summer holiday provision

Inspire Summer Holiday Club tickets for Ipswich are now available on their website.

Funded places are available, and each child will have access to 2 days per week over the 6 week period. These places need to be booked online, via this link.

And finally… sports fun in the sun

The children had a really active week with their additional Sports Enrichment mornings. Our Premier Sports reps, Alfie and Kyle, instructed the children to play familiar games-with-a-twist, such as kick rounders (where the ‘bowler’ kicks a football to the ‘kicker’). This, plus games such as ultimate frisbee and scatterball, went down really well in the summer sun! Here are some pictures.
