E-Safety

The Internet is a fantastic resource for everyone. As educators, it offers myriad opportunities to help children learn in a way they find engaging. Additionally, using ICT and the internet is preparing them for their future in a digital, global community.

While the benefits of going online are numerous, there are some potential dangers. Part of the online world includes communication and information sharing and it is this element of online life that children need to be educated about in order to be safe.

We urge all our parents to support the school in discussing the potential dangers of sharing information online with their children and to help them understand ways they can minimise or eliminate these potential dangers.

If you have any questions about the how to help your child stay safe online please don’t hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher.
